Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do….and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. Your worth is not determined by the quality of your papers.

Your excellence is not affected by the judgement of professors.

Your significance is not lessened if you fail.

You are not what you produce.

We are pissed. Our well-being is not valued, only what and how much we produce. It is normal to sacrifice our health for the sake of tests, projects, and papers. When we have the courage ask for help, we are directed to sub-par resources that have failed students time and time again. This college forces people out by making students take medical leave or putting students through so much that they break. When we have demanded that the college provide support for students suffering from trauma on campus, we get half-assed emails saying the college is thinking about what options they have to take.

We don’t want your fucking emails.

We want action.
